摘要：
We report the design and fabrication of Bragg gratings in benzocyclobutene (BCB) channel waveguides with emphasis on the demonstration of their polarization dependence. The effects of the stress-induced birefringence in the waveguide on the polarization dependence of the Bragg gratings are characterized and discussed. Our results show the possibility of realizing tunable polarization-insensitive Bragg-grating filters with simple polymer waveguide structures. (C) 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
