摘要
One of the factors that impact on the educational services quality is the capacity for strategic planning and academic-administrative management on the institutional governing offices. This capacity implies the improvement of activities development in order to guarantee the decisions-making quality. In order to accomplish this purpose, it is necessary to articulate the key elements of the organization, such as institutional vision, mission, and objectives for all the activities that will allow the goals achievement. There are reference several models that support administrative management and provide a methodological framework that supports the definition and the design of the aforementioned architectures (Arango, et al., 2010). Most of these reference models are neutral for suppliers and technology. Their vision is the flow of information without borders, and its adaptation and application in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), improving administration management by taking in account the complexity that implies the management model on this University. The model requires an interdisciplinary vision by combining knowledge and experiences from different disciplines (management, information systems, and processes). From the perspective of each of these disciplines, the primary objective was to apply the best practices for the management system design that integrates: a) an architecture process that supports substantive functions, also describes the organizational structure, planning and control systems, governance mechanisms and administration policies of UAM (Metropolitan Autonomous University) environment procedures; b) all data architecture will be manages information and provides a perspective on how information resources are managed, share it and used it by the organization members to establish a unique source of information that guarantees data quality, accurate and timely information that our institution needs to support different processes and to target it for different purposes; c) the incorporation of computer strategies that will support substantive functions and to establish all type of applications needed for data and information management; y d) the definition of a technological architecture that establishes the computational platforms, databases, as well the mechanisms of storage information repositories, data networks, data processing and integrated services on technology centers. This work culminated in the definition of the key process architecture that will be represented graphically and documented each process on UAM-Lerma.
