摘要
Creation of low-carbon society to suppress CO2 emission is becoming a global challenge. In Japan, the Advanced Low Carbon Technology Research and Development Program has been promoting introduction of hydrogen cooled superconducting generator (SCG) under hydrogen infrastructure as one of low-carbon technologies. Hydrogen-cooled SCGs have advantages not only to low-carbonization but also to stabilization of systemwith renewable energy due to their structural characteristics. In this paper, basic study on design of damper and generator constants for hydrogen-cooled SCGs with excitation control in local power system was done from the viewpoint of transient stability. The two types of SCGs were discussed, the single damper SCG and double damper SCG. The parameters were investigated through numerical simulations using an electromagnetic transient analysis software named eXpandable Transient Analysis Program.
