摘要
This paper presents a novel rectenna with shaped radiation pattern for indoor RE energy harvesting. The proposed design employs an antenna array with optimized excitations to realize a wide coverage and flat radiation top. By optimizing the power transmission efficiency under the condition that each test receiving antenna must receive the same power, the optimal distribution of excitations for the antenna array is determined and then realized by a feeding network When used as the receiving part of rectenna, simulation results indicate that main beam of the compact six element patch array covers the required incident angle from 45 degrees to +45 degrees with only 0.8 dB fluctuation.
