UH MODEL AND ITS APPLICATION TO ANALYZING SETTLEMENT OF RIGID BEARING PLATE

摘要
The unified hardening model (UH model) for over-consolidated clay proposed by Yao et al can describe many characteristics of clays well, including stress-strain relationships, stress dilatancy, strain hardening and softening, path dependency behaviours and so on. The new FEM computer program based on the UH model is compiled and used in the numerical simulation of triaxial test and rigid bearing plate test. The UH model and the Cam-clay model are used to predict the stress-strain curves in the triaxial test and the p-s curves in the rigid bearing plate test respectively. Comparisons of predicated results and test data show that the UH model is more rational. The UH model is proposed on the basis of the Cam-clay model and has the same parameters as it, so the UH model can be easily applied to the FEM.
