Study for straight outdoor vent-pipe positioning method of automobile based on binocular vision system

摘要
In the paper, a positioning method of-straight outdoor vent-pipe is presented, which bases on the technology of binocular stereo vision and 3-D reconstruction. Measurement principle and mathematic model of these binocular stereo vision systems, which are parallel optical axes of twain CCDs and general ones, are concretely represented. At last, the 3-D appearance of automobile tail is reconstructed on the technology of binocular stereo vision, and the 3-D coordinates values of vent-pipe is computed through the feature of figure and 3-D position of vent-pipe. The experiment results show that the method can realize automatic searching and positioning, and its error is fit for the actual application demand.
