Preparation of Porous YSZ Monoliths via Sol-gel Process Accompanied by Phase Separation

摘要
Macroporous YSZ monoliths were prepared via sol-gel process accompanied by phase separation. Gelation of the system was mediated by propylene oxide (PO), while phase separation was induced by poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO, M-v=1x10(6)). Formamide(FA) was added to act as drying control chemical additive (DCCA). The results indicate that the phase separation is induced by the addition of PEO, and the monolithic gels with co-continuous skeletons and controllable pore sizes can be obtained. The tetragonal phase of YSZ after heat-treated at different temperatures demonstrates the stabilization of yttrium.
