Law's Garden of Forking Paths

In a beautiful tale, Jorge Luis Borges writes about a garden of forking paths. This is a story that could be read in different ways. It can be read as a detective novel, in which the reader is accompanying the main character in a murder investigation. In fact, Borges is trying to show us the difference in the traditional conception of infinity and the modem idea of it, established by German mathematician Georg Cantor. According to Cantor, there is a possibility of an abstract yet real infinity.
