摘要
Three patients developed a postganglionic Homer syndrome during the course of an ipsilateral uncomplicated middle ear infection. The mechanism may be an effect on the middle ear caroticotympanic sympathetic plexus, for which there is considerable anatomic and physiologic evidence. Why Horner syndrome does not occur more often after middle ear infection is a mystery.
