When dealing with cozmplicated dot-based lattice structures, the traditional approach used by micromagnetic simulators is to treat the entire lattice structure as a single body containing magnetized and non-magnetized regions. This approach is not computationally favorable due to excessive processing and storage requirements. The concept of a mutual demagnetizing tensor can be used for minimizing this load. In this paper, we show the feasibility of our approach for patterned dots in rhomboid lattice geometries. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
