With the Bibexcel which is developed for the co - occurrence analysis of literature information, this paper build the co - occurrence matrix of economy and policy research on energy and climate change via articles from Web of Knowledge Database during the past two decades, and identifies research focus through cluster analysis, which are economics or statistics model and theory applied in energy and climate change research, emission permission and trading, economic analysis of policy, energy efficiency and emission of different industries, and carbon trade mechanism and carbon tax, sorted by the size of cluster from small to large
