This paper presents a design and implementation of a digital fluxgate magnetometer, where the complete digital signal processing and feedback technique for suppressing of the sensor hysteresis and non-linearity are used. Previous works show that the main limiting factors of the fully digital magnetometers are analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters non-idealities. Therefore high-speed precise A/D converter is used for the digitalization of the sensor signal and two different types of precise and high-linear D/A converters (mass-produced and custom-made) are tested as a converter for reconstruction of the feedback signal. The target is to match 50 ppm linearity and 120 dB dynamic range of our fluxgate sensors. Furthermore, using of the digital technique brings the possibility of digital correction of the sensor and system non-idealities.
