摘要
The paper is a study of the surface stereometric structure of AZ91 specimens after slide diamond burnishing using PCD tools. The experimental models describing the influence of the burnishing conditions on Sa and some other non-standard surface parameters were obtained. The results of slide burnishing and those of precise turning were compared by assessing the values of a dozen or so parameters of the surface structure. The correlations between certain surface parameters were revealed. Also, it was established that the application of burnishing makes it possible to achieve a surface roughness of Sa <0.4 mu m as well as good values of many other surface stereometric structure parameters, so this machining process can be used for finishing AZ91 alloy objects.
