MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH CARE AND IT'S DETERMINANTS ON CHILD DEATH IN MAHARASHTRA AND RAJASTHAN

摘要
Maternal and child health care demands leading priorities in every countries for having the healthy nation. It has been observed that these sorts of priorities have cut a sorry figure in India. It is to be noted that the inadequate child as well as maternal care creates compricuous problems which pose serious threat to their healthy. Specific care is needed to be taken on the maternal and child health to resist the unhappy situations in the social settings concerned. Proper health care during antenatal, natal and postnatal periods substantially diminishes the ill-fated situation like infant and maternal mortality. An attempts has been made in this study, to look into the various perspectives relating to maternal and child care factors and in so doing a categorical in-depth study has been conducted by the author in the states of Rajasthan and Maharashtra having high child mortality. After examining through the broad-based analysis of various survey data and related matters the differentials of maternal and child health care and the maternal and child health care factors for child death in the study area have been brought forward and examined critically to suggest the remedial measures on various unfortunate situational context. Socioeconomic factors as well as maternal and child care factors have been categorically analysed here to throw discermible light on this issue.
