摘要
The Hospitality Industry is a part of a larger enterprise known as travel and tourism industry. The travel and tourism industry is a vast group of businesses with one thing in common, providing necessary or desired products and services to guests. It is one of the largest industries in the world. It includes everything which arises from the interaction of the people. Hotels treat their customer as guests and strive to provide a spirit of hospitality that exceeds their guest expectations. Hotels also play an important part in a community. In India guest is treated as God and thus the slogan states "ATITHI DEVO BHAVA" The Hospitality industry is divided into sectors according to the skill sets required for the work involved. They include Rooms Division (Front office and Accommodation), Food & Beverage service, Business Centre, Recreation and Entertainment, Guest services and Information, Back office jobs etc. Hospitality Industry is flourishing every moment and is termed as one of the fastest growing industries. Hospitality sector plays a vital role in the total economic growth of our country. Implementation of New trends and Technologies improve the standards day by day. But in spite of these advancements, cross-trainings and up gradation Hospitality industry is facing various challenges to sustain in the competitive market, which also holds a lot of investment at every single step on day to day operations.
