摘要
Pharmacists provide high-level consultation to both practitioners and patients regarding fetomaternal medicine yet baseline knowledge and training opportunities are unknown. Aims were to develop a questionnaire tool for knowledge assessment, as well as characterization of training opportunities and resource utilization for pharmacists in this area. The development process included a comprehensive literature search for existing assessment tools, categorization of relevant topics and creation of questions based on identified domains, and consult from clinical experts. A questionnaire of 35 questions was developed. A variation of multiple choice, true/false, multiple item checklists, and open-ended response boxes were employed. An ongoing study has been planned to pilot the tool with practicing pharmacists in Qatar, Canada, and Uganda.
