EDUCATION ECONOMICS, A GLOBALIZED APPROACH TO EDUCATION

The growth of the countries is fundamentally based on the education of their population, which directly impacts their productivity and the ability to compete globally. A global knowledge economy is being lived in which the nations that grow the most and reduce poverty the most are those that produce technological innovation. The Economy of Education seeks to elucidate the relationship that exists between two variables, economic growth and educational development and which one prevails over the other, education becomes relevant as the main source of the new production model, the so-called knowledge economy. From the above it can be concluded that there is a close interrelation between economic growth, productivity, competitiveness, and public policies in education.
