The Absorbtion and Low-Frequency Dielectric Characteristics of the Cross-Linked Polyethylene Insulation for Power Cables

摘要
The absorption charging I-ch and discharging I-dis currents of the cable polyethylene insulation before and after thermal aging were investigated experimentally. These data are analyzed on the basis of two physics models which correspond to Maxwell and Voigt equivalent circuits. The aim of the work is to show that measurements of absorption characteristics are nondestructive diagnostic method of electrical insulation of cables.
