摘要
This paper presents a MATLAB-based tool as one of new teaching technologies as a flipped science education model for improving mathematical and numerical concepts. This work is developing the current situations that information, computer and Internet technology are receiving increased attention in science education. This will help to allow students to reinforce theoretical, mathematical or numerical concepts through an interactive way. The main objective of this research is to present an ad-hoc open MATLAB code toolbox, which seeks to construct mathematical and numerical concepts in an interactive format. The proposed tool has been designed by the means of pop-up windows where students only need to know basic or elementary knowledge of web-based programs. With this software framed in Adobe Captivate 6 as a HTML5-based e-Learning application used as flipped-teaching approach, students can practice with comprehensive mathematical and numerical options such as the strong and weak bases and different expressions of each exercise that can be selected. In conclusion, this tool is a feasible way to improve the basic concepts of mathematical and numerical studies throughout the practice of numerical exercise assisted by computer calculation. The research employs a general good perception and observation of the tool and emphasizing the tool feasibility to accomplish a more meaningful learning.
