摘要
In the context of mobile learning research an emerging area is the mobile-based assessment (MBA), representing the assessment delivered with the support of personal electronic mobile devices, e.g. smartphones and tablets. This paper aims to provide a better understanding of how mobile-based assessment can be effectively used to support and to improve learning in higher education settings. The paper proposes a new mobile-based assessment framework acknowledging mobile learning opportunities, like ubiquitous and seamless learning, assessment outside the classroom boundaries, and immediate, adaptive and personalized feedback. The mobile solution was implemented and tested. Based on the results, it can be concluded that students had a positive opinion of m-learning activities. They were generally satisfied with the proposed mobile-based application interface and content and consider helpful this type of assessment.
