摘要
An optimum computer methodology for non-linear DE systems, 1980 [6], "Direct, Formal Integration (DFI)," has been exercised in some 300 non-linear physics problems, with no failures. Sophomores [7] solved second order NL ODEs. DFI modes are: 1) "Simplex," a single integration trajectory; 2) "Multiplex" ("NAD," Natural Anti-Derivative) trajectories for each independent variable. "Exact" means exhaustion of any computer's finite capacity. Applications in introductory courses, 1981-97, and current work on Euler's PDEs, Lorenz' chaos, Tricomi "mixed-type" PDE, and inviscid Burgers' are detailed (also, see [8]).
