摘要
Outcome Measuring Instruments for Assessing Clinical Quality Assurance: Musculoskeletal diseases cause pain, physical, psychological and social disability and often significantly reduce quality of life. It is now generally accepted that patients are experts in the assessment of disease consequences if they are questioned with appropriate instruments. Models of disease and the disabling process provide the conceptual background for the measurement of disease consequences. Standardised assessment of outcomes with psychometrically sound instruments may be used to examine the quality of care in clinical practice, clinical trials, clinical epidemiology, economic studies and health services research.
