Power Economic/Eenvironmental Dispatch Problem Using Cuckoo Search Algorithm

This study proposes a combined method for solving power economic/environmental dispatch problem (EEDP). Cuckoo search algorithm (CSA) can efficaciously find and precisely search the optimal answer. The multiplier updating technique (MUT) is involved to escape deforming the augmented Lagrange function and caused difficultly search the final answer in optimal process. To manage the EEDP of power system, the epsilon-constraint method is utilized. The suggested method combines the e-constraint technique, the CSA, and the MUT. The suggested approach (CSA-MUT) has the merit of self-adjusting the randomly given punishment to a suitable value and need only a small-size population. Simulation achievements show that the suggested approach is better than earlier algorithms in optimal answer characteristic.
