摘要
On suckler calves from a cow-calf operation (German Red Pied and German Black and White, treated animals, BK and control animals, KK) repeated measurements of body weight, rectal body temperature and blood components were done. Beginning with the first week of life BK received 1000 mg Fe each ten days up to three weeks. Body weight was significantly smaller in BK than in KK. Interactions of group (treated or control calves) and sex of calf on accumulated body weight and growth rate showed different reactions of male and female calves. Considering the age of calves, which had high significant effects on body weight, accumulated body weight and haematological measures and oxygen capacity of blood as well, BK had greater growth rates and significantly greater blood measures and oxygen content of blood as KK calves.
