摘要
The optical lens is widely used in our daily life. However, it is difficult to achieve high material removal rate and high surface (sub-surface) quality while polishing hard and brittle materials such as optical glass. Therefore, a friction and wear rolling contact model, which includes abrasives with different surface regularities; optical lenses with fractal characteristics; material properties of particles, speed, and cutting depth as well as polishing process parameters, is proposed in our research. The effect of the contact force, contact stress, and abrasive angle on sub-surface damage under different shear strength is studied in detail by theoretical analysis and numerical simulation. The results of the rolling friction contact model are verified by the experiment, which indicate that the model proposed in this paper is reasonable and the FEM simulation process is reliable.
