摘要
The Smart school education program is a systematically designed program that integrates teaching and learning with information technology (IT) applications, which include computer, based teaching and web-based learning. This paper presents research findings from the aforementioned research. These findings will show the teachers' and students' perceptions of the effectiveness and the degree of their readiness in embracing the innovation. The paper concludes by highlighting pertinent aspects in the concept of Smart School education that need to be re-examined and revamped, namely matters pertaining to teacher training, IT infrastructure, and curriculum design, so as to ensure that the innovation can successfully breed or nurture a workforce prepared to meet the challenges of the ICT era.
