摘要
A method of investigating quasi-spatial conceptions in children by means of analyzing a drawing performed to a verbal instruction is described. Correlation analysis reveals a link between the level of quasi-spatial conceptions of first-year schoolchildren and their performance in mastering basic school skills (counting, writing, reading). The method can be suggested to a school psychologist as an instrument of diagnosing preparedness for school.
