摘要
A computational model has been developed to predict particle separation and fibre fractionation in hydrocycloncs according to specific particle/fibre properties. Both spherical and cylindrical particles are considered, A model of cellulose fibres as irregular rigid cylinders which sit-ell is also described. The influences on separation and fractionation of particle/fibre wet density, coarseness, diameter; length and specific surface are investigated. In addition, the influences of viscosity and flow rate on separation and fractionation tire discussed.
