Decorative glass made from fly ash

The black decorative glass was made from fly ash as a main raw material, industrial slags and a small quantity of chemical agents. The technological process of manufacturing the glass is discussed. The amorphous state and the transition temperature of glass were analyzed by the X-ray diffractometer and the differential thermal analyzer. The density, mechanical propertice, glossiness and alkali resistance of the glass were measured. Results indicate that the transition temperature of the glass is higher than that of the most sillcate glasses and there is no any crystalline phase in the giant, which can be used as a novel material because of its good physical and chemical properties.
