Effect of Spiral Antennas Pulse Distortion on the Performance of Ultra-Wideband Impulse Radio Systems

摘要：
The bit error rate (BER) performance of time hopping pulse position modulation (TH-PPM) impulse radio employing spiral antennas is investigated. Two-arm equiangular and Archimedean spirals are considered. Analytical compensation technique is applied to reduce antennas dispersion and enhance the system's BER performance.
