摘要
Samples of BaTiO3 using sintering in steps and also direct sintering, with rutile and anatase phases of TiO2, are synthesized by solid state ceramic technique. The single tetragonal phase formation was confirmed using the standard XRD technique and FTIR spectrum. The characteristic tetragonal splitting of 002/200 XRD peaks also Supports the tetragonal symmetry The tetragonality, however, differs for different samples. SEM micrographs show larger grain size for the anatase samples. All the samples exhibit classical ferroelectric behaviour with a Curie temperature at 126(0) C.
