摘要
Epoxy resin is one of the main components of the composite insulator core rod. It will gradually age under the electrical and thermal impacts, which will influence the insulation property seriously. In this paper, the changes of physical and chemical properties of epoxy resin under different temperature conditions are investigated. The epoxy resin samples are heated to the temperature that the composite insulator might encounter in the daily operation, and then analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), respectively. The results show that temperature has a significant effect on epoxy resin, and along with the increases of temperature, the concentration of some group decreases, showing a clear regularity of monotonic. This discovery reveals the microscopic changes of the material structure as well. This paper will contribute more profound understanding to the studies about the ageing mechanism and the reproduction of the ageing process about epoxy resin.
