K-means Based Edge Server Deployment Algorithm for Edge Computing Environments

摘要
In mobile edge computing environments, edge servers are deployed at the edge of the network to provide low-latency and high-bandwidth services for mobile terminals. This paper proposed a k-means based algorithm for deploying edge servers, compared the performance of this algorithm on the average completion time of the system with the random deployment algorithm and the density based clustering algorithm. Experimental results show that the k-means based algorithm is effective for deploying edge servers.
