摘要：
The American Concrete Pressure Pipe Association (ACPPA) and the concrete pressure pipe industry which it represents undertook a program designed to make significant advances in design, manufacture and installation of Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP) through materials research, application of modern structural engineering principles, improvements in manufacturing practices, and upgrading of AWWA standards. Practices for monitoring and protection of the pipe were researched. An independent certification program was also initiated. Implementation of those improvements was closely coordinated with the results of market studies which identified customer responses.
