摘要
In the recent paper the problems of are quenching in are chute are discussed. It is shown that are lifetime essentially depends on method of are introducing to the are chute, since the are tries repelling from the edges of plates that is conditioned by electrical forces side by side attraction from magnetic forces if plates are ferromagnetic. As a result a delay of are spot formation is occur, The processes of are penetration to the are chute with different number of plates was studied experimentally A erosion damage picture of the high power air circuit breaker are chute plates material and structure of erosion products was investigated by electron microscopy and X-ray spectrometry. Besides high speed filming of processes in are chute is presented. In some condition on the background of homogeneous discharge are clearly saw plasma jets proceeding from plates. Theirs dynamics and structure were explored.
