摘要：
The ways in which psychiatry and its institutions and practitioners are capable of exhibiting great humanitarian qualities and performing iniquitous practices in different societies at various times in history has been eloquently re-emphasised this year. The lessons to be learnt from Nazi Germany have been stated in many international journals, not least in the British Medical Journal special issue commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Nuremberg War Trials.
