CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. ENVIRONMENTAL APPLICATIONS IN ROMANIA

Corporate Social Responsibility is a concept relating to the contribution that companies must take in order to contribute to the development of modern society. As states and international institutions have realized that adopting the principles of CSR by companies serves to the objectives of sustainable development, it appeared the need for international standards to define what a "desirable corporate behavior" is. CSR is a concept increasingly known in the Romanian business environment. An important thing for Romanian companies is to understand the implications of applying the social responsibility concept on long-term and the direct connection that it exerts on economic and social performances and environmental protect.
