摘要
By incorporating the Morris method and the Cornell Multi-grid Coupled Tsunami Model, we analyze the sensitivity of maximum tsunami wave heights to the parameters of the seismic tsunami source, including the earthquake's magnitude, the focal depth, the strike angle etc., under the assumption of an earthquake with magnitude MW8.0 occurring at the northern fault segment along Manila Trench and triggering a tsunami in the South China Sea. We also obtain some qualitative description for nonlinear or linear effects of the above parameters on the maximum tsunami wave heights. Our result is beneficial to improve the tsunami warning services in China.
