Calculating Permittivity and Dielectric Loss Frequency Spectra for Aqueous Electrolyte Solutions

摘要
Analytic expressions for dielectric permittivity factor epsilon(1)(omega) and dielectric dissipation factor epsilon(2)(omega) of electrolyte solutions are obtained, based on the ratio between complex factors of dielectric permittivity and specific conductivity. The range of frequency dispersion of dynamic factors epsilon(1)(omega) and epsilon(2)(omega) for aqueous solutions of LiCl, NaCl, KCl, and CsCl is considered. Numerical calculations are performed for friction coefficients beta (a) and beta (b) ; relaxation times tau (a) , tau (b) , and tau (ab) ; and factors epsilon(1)(omega) and epsilon(2)(omega) in a wide range of variation for rho; concentration c; temperature T; and frequencies omega. The resulting theoretically calculated epsilon(1)(omega) and epsilon(2)(omega) values and the Cole-Cole diagram are in quantitative agreement with experimental data.
