Vibration evaluation from the effects of whole-body vibration

The purpose of this study is to make clear the physiological and psychological effects on the human body from vibration, and it aims to be a cautionary guide for the application of frequency-weighting curves with respect to health effects. The standard is not well defined for the difference between the two effects of the human responses. The study covers short-term exposure and assesses the risks resulting from whole-body vibrations. For recumbent persons, tests were carried out to find the effect of whole-body vibration in a low frequency range. Physiological effects were examined by investigating the effects on the cardiovascular system, the blood flow system, the respiratory movement, and the salivation, to confirm the effects on the autonomic nervous system and on postural sways in the normal Romberg position.
