Analysis of woven element deformation in fabric forming process

摘要
In this paper the changes in plain woven fabric element during uniaxial bias specimen tension are presented. The evaluation of changes in geometric element parameters such as yam width d, yam thickness a, yarns spacing s, crimp angle beta, fabric thickness h and angle between two yarns systems theta are investigated. It was found that fabric element geometry is not the only parameters influencing shear angle gamma variation. The friction has to be investigated at crossover points where yarns are in close contact because FEM simulations of a woven element deformation has shown that the highest value of stresses are obtained at these points during shearing.
