摘要
A coplanar waveguide fed triangular and circular patch combined antenna for body area network is proposed in this paper. It has an operating frequency of 4.8GHz to 6.8GHz bandwidth in the UWB range, making its performance considerably robust when applied to different human beings, where frequency shift will take place. The antenna is constructed on the substrate of FR4 with a planar size of 20mm x 25mm with a thickness of 1.6mm, which can properly fit to any common person's on-body. The defective ground structure and bio-skin layer at bottom of the antenna is introduced to improve performance of the antenna for on-body communication. The proposed wearable antenna has combination of triangular and circular patch radiator, facilitating its direct connection with 50ohms normalized feed input point. This proposed antenna finds application in the wireless devices and biomedical based instruments. To obtain the various parameters of the proposed antenna the CST Microwave Studio simulation software is used.
