摘要：

Aim. - The objective of this study was to investigate the role and the fields of activity of the psychologists practicing in the different geriatric sectors in Rhone-Alpes region. A descriptive survey has been conducted. Results and discussion. - Results show that psychologist positions vary according to the initial education and the nature of the care. Regarding the psychologist's expectations, the shortening of time that should be devoted to the professional education and research represents the main complain of the psychologists. Besides, another complain concerns the contract administrative precariousness of the psychologists working in the public service without benefiting from the status of a state employee. Finally, concerning the relations with the other professionals, they seem satisfied and feel recognized in their profession. (C) 2013 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.
