Reduction of NO by CO using a zeolite catalyst obtained from fly ash

摘要
The zeolitization of fly ash into NaP or faujasite-type zeolites was carried out. After incorporating Cu into the zeolites, these materials were tested as catalysts in the reduction of NO with CO. Thus for example, 3.6 wt. % Cu-impregnated NaP and faujasite-type zeolites show 47 and 36 mol % conversion of NO, respectively, at 503 K. The untreated fly ash was almost inactive in this reaction.
