摘要：
Knowledge management (KM) has been gaining increasing attention from relevant field and information technology (IT) has an important role in supporting KM. Complex nature and characteristics of KM call for new frameworks, methodology, technology and raise opportunities and challenges for IT. To expand the role of IT in KM, what IT can and cannot contribute to KM should be clarified. This paper aims to examine current IT approaches and solutions to support KM, focusing on knowledge management technology/tools, knowledge technology (KT) and knowledge management systems (KMS). KM Requirements and tools available are also explored, compared and analyzed to identify the future effort for IT to be an integral part of KM.
