摘要：
In the recent years, multimedia applications have become very popular. The valuable multimedia information in digital forms, however, is vulnerable to unauthorized access while in storage and during the transmission. In this paper, we propose an image encryption scheme for multimedia applications using block cipher. The primary concept is based on the implementation of Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm. The simulation shows that our proposed method significantly enhances the security for transmission images over network as well as for storage.
