摘要
A section of a Mid-Pleistocene (dated absolutly) stalagmite from the Zoolithen cave (Burggaillenreuth, Franconian Alb, Germany) was analyzed palynologically. Among pollen and non-organic residue, 8 remains of insects were found. These were indentified as wing- and body parts of Trichoptera (Caddisflies) and Lepidoptera (Butterflies). These are the first insect fossils described from a Pleistocene speleothem in Germany.
