Physiologically active phenols and indoles in gray forest soil upon regular application of organic fertilizers

摘要
The effect of different rates and types of organic fertilizers (wheat straw, clover and corn green matter, manure, and peat-manure compost) on the accumulation of phenols and indoles in gray forest soil was studied. It was shown that the phenol concentrations found in the soil (155-810 mu g/g) exhibited no toxic effect on cereal crops. Regression equations relating the contents of phenols, indoles, and humus in the soil with the application rates of organic fertilizers were presented.
