摘要
The social behavior and sound signals of the reed vole, Microtus fortis, are described based on the experimental data. The voles emitted sounds in two situations: squeaks in aggressive contacts (discomfort situations) and quiet squeaks of females and singing of females (during courtship). Physical characteristics of Microtus fortis sounds are described. The sound activity of these voles depended on their social status and physiology.
