REGIONAL COMPETITIVENESS, PROSPERITY AND DEVELOPMENT DYNAMICS - THEIR ADVISABILITY IN CONTEXT OF EU ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COHESION POLICY

The paper deals with problems of basic terms connected with policy of economic and social cohesion - competitiveness, prosperity and development dynamics at the regional level. The authors set two aims, partly to call attention to content neutrality and obscurity of these terms in use at the regional level, and also to quantify these characteristics at the level of regions NUTS II. To achieve these objectives elementary analytical methods were used. Conclusions state basic problems connected with the use of above mentioned categories in the regional dimension.
